LODHO - Play Tom Waits

2 Thursday at 8:30 P.M.

The world of Tom Waits opens up like an apple under a sharp knife when this orchestra of multi-instrumentalists takes an irreverent stab at his songs. The musicians play in front of one another, on top of one another, trade voices, put their feet in it, throw a wrench in the works and tie the knot. They have a reputation for making music that needs to be seen.

Émilie Clepper

2 Saturday at 8:30 P.M.
Half-Quebecer, half-Texan, Émilie Clepper has a one-of-a-kind voice, and mature, insightful lyrics blending self-examination, melancholy and serene suffering. She steers clear of sad defeatism and opts rather for something touching and true.

Just before entering a months-long period of hibernation, David Marin invites onto the stage with him his friends Jérôme Minière and Alexandre Belliard for an ''intensively festive'' evening! Since the release of his CD À côté de la track, David has taken his show to just about every nook and cranny of the Francophonie, making fans of hard-hitting folk music happy indeed! Still playing with bandmates Denis Ferland (guitars, lap steel guitar) and Pierre Fortin (drums), David is joined this evening by Charles Perron on bass. Did you say all-inclusive?
